Fun, Flirty, and Fashionable-that is how I would describe this style dress that, love it or hate it, is here to stay. The high low dress is usually a style that we see more of in the summer months. As the temperatures rise, the length of our skirts tend to rise as well. The remarkable thing about this style is that it can be worn in both casual and formal settings. As formal wear, a high low can be worn for prom, semiformal, homecoming or even as a bridesmaid in a wedding. Below are some styles that I loved for the abovementioned events.
(1) The Bridesmaid
These gowns by Christina Wu are a perfect choice if you are in a wedding party. With a skirt like this you can show off your shoes, pedicure, and you are less likely to step on the front hem of your skirt and take a tumble at the reception. The skirt will flow around you as you dance the night away and celebrate.
(2) The After Dress – Dress.
Once you are in your wedding or quinceañero reception, you might want to change from your traditional dress into a more comfortable one that will allow you to roam your party comfortably. There is nothing worse than trying to maneuver in between tables and chairs in a huge gown just to greet your guests. Perhaps a short dress feels too informal for an event as grand as yours, this is when a high low gown comes into play.
(3) Junior Prom and Semi Formal Dances
The high low style is also perfect for those of us who are not that great at walking with heels on. With the front of your skirt so high off the ground, you do not have to worry about stepping on the hem of your dress and taking a spill on the dance floor. You want to be the talk of your dance, but not because you fell. You should prefer to make a statement based off of what you are wearing not because of your lack of coordination. Check out some of these styles for your dance/party.
These are just some of the high low styles available for your upcoming event. Stop by any of our two locations and try on this style gown and tell us what you think.
